Jeremy Harbour, Chairman of the Unity Family of Businesses.
Jeremy has started and run many enterprises since starting a trading business at the age of 14 called Oasis Trading. Jeremy has extensive experience in the business services sectors, he has a good grasp of accounts and has direct experience in franchising, acquisitions, mergers, strategic partnerships, joint ventures, fundraising and partial exit in his career so far.
Jeremy founded Unity in 1998 as a telecoms company, he added IT through acquisition in 2003, since then he set about creating a group of businesses through either joint venture or acquisition that would become the Unity family of businesses. The Unity Family now employs around 120 people and revenues at a run rate of £9.5m, and is growing exponentially through acquisition and merger.
Jeremy has also suffered set back, an amusement arcade he owned in 1992 failed and had to be closed and more recently V&J Harbour Ltd which traded as Unity a telecoms business suffered an insolvency in April 2006. These experiences have proved incredibly valuable lessons, and it is a testimony to his resolve and the team around him that Unity is where it is today despite such set backs.
Jeremy has taken a number of speaking engagements to business audiences, including the Property Investors Breakfast club, and an event organised by Mark Prisk MP at Hertford Castle, he also regularly presents a series of business growth and turnaround strategy seminars.
Jeremy has also written articles in the Sharp Edge Magazine and Mens Health on the subject of entrepreneurship.
He is now publishing a weekly business advice news letter, sent via post, these killer tips are the sum of his many years of experience and set backs and will help any business grow, improve cash flow and generally improve value. Why not make this small investment to leap frog the years and expense of gaining this unique experience.
